Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven heats, lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Broccoli: If you’re using fresh broccoli, steam the florets for about 3-5 minutes until they are vibrant green and just tender. If you opt for frozen broccoli, be sure to thaw it completely and drain any excess water to avoid a watery filling.

Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Season generously with salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended and coated.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Carefully pour the chicken and broccoli mixture into the greased baking dish, using a spatula to spread it out evenly across the bottom.

Prepare the Biscuit Topping: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate each biscuit. For a delightful texture, cut each biscuit in half or into quarters. Arrange the biscuit pieces evenly on top of the chicken and broccoli mixture, ensuring it’s well-covered.

Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the biscuit pieces. This will create a deliciously cheesy topping as it bakes.

Bake the Dish: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness when the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, and the creamy filling is gently bubbling around the edges.

Garnish and Serve: After baking, remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool for about 5 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top for an added pop of color and freshness.

                  Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 6-8
