8 chicken drumsticks

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

1 teaspoon sesame oil (for finishing)

1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika (if using). Whisk them together until you have a smooth, homogeneous mixture.

    Marinate the Drumsticks: Place the chicken drumsticks into a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the drumsticks, making sure each piece is thoroughly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, but ideally overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate the chicken deeply.

      Preheat the Grill: About 15 minutes before you're ready to grill, preheat your grill to medium-high heat (approximately 400°F or 200°C). Lightly oil the grill grates using a paper towel dipped in oil to help prevent the drumsticks from sticking during cooking.
