Ingredients

For the Chicken Alfredo:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon butter

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Garlic Bread:

1 French baguette

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:

    - Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

      - In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sauté for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a golden-brown exterior (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.

        Cook the Pasta:

          - In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente (typically about 8-10 minutes). Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside, reserving approximately 1 cup of the pasta water for later use.

            Make the Alfredo Sauce:

              - In the same skillet used for the chicken, reduce the heat to medium and melt the butter. Add in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant and lightly golden.

                - Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously, and bring to a gentle simmer. Lower the heat and gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is melted and creamy. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach the desired creamy consistency. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

                  Combine:

                    - Carefully add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing gently to coat the pasta evenly. Slice the cooked chicken and arrange it beautifully on top of the pasta.

                      Make the Garlic Bread:

                        - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

                          - Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt, mixing well until creamy.

                            - Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture on the cut sides of the baguette. Place the baguette halves on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy.

                              Serve:

                                - Plate generous portions of the creamy Chicken Alfredo and sprinkle with fresh, chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve with hot slices of garlic bread on the side for a delightful finishing touch.
